Purchase Contract
Karen's Yorkies
I understand Karen’s Yorkies cannot absolutely guarantee the size or temperament
of a dog, nor do we guarantee the ears to stand, loose knees (patella’s) or
double set of teeth. We also do not guarantee against hypoglycemia or diarrhea
due to stress of improper diet. We do not accept returns for hernia’s.
All
puppies must be spayed or neutered by the age of SEVEN months, and
a
spay/neuter certificate from your vet must be sent to Karen’s Yorkies by the age
of seven months or the AKC papers are forfeited and will not be given.
All puppies are sold on a limited
registration contract.
The dog is guaranteed to be in good health at time of pickup or delivery.
However, if a medical problem is suspected, the puppy needs to be examined by
a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours
after it is received. If puppy is diagnosed as being unhealthy, the puppy, and a
written report by the licensed veterinarian and all paper work including the AKC
papers must accompany this contract and be returned
to Karen's Yorkies within 7 days. Failure to do this will make this contract null
and void. If puppy needs to be shipped, buyer must pay all shipping costs,
including crate, and health certificate. Puppy must be shipped counter to counter. We will
issue a new puppy if yours is found to have a congenital defect within the first
12 months of the puppy's life. We do NOT give cash
refunds under any circumstances, but we will replace said puppy when one becomes
available of the same sex, quality and price.
If buyer decides to resell this dog, then this guarantee is not valid for the
next owner. If the puppy should die within the first 12 months of it's life, it will be replaced
ONLY if an autopsy is performed and the cause was congenital such as heart,
liver, or kidney failure. A vet report must be supplied. If an autopsy is not
performed then this guarantee is void and the puppy will not be replaced. I
understand that I (the purchaser) will assume any and all veterinarian cost and
any other expenses that might be incurred in connection with this puppy and waive any
cost what so –ever against Karen’s Yorkies and it’s owners.
I understand that Karen’s Yorkies will mail the puppy’s AKC papers upon Karen’s Yorkies receiving the Spay or Neutered certificate, signed by a licensed Veterinarian. Karen's Yorkies MUST have the signed Spay/Neuter certificate by the time the puppy is seven months of age. Failure to do so will forfeit the AKC papers . I understand that no other guarantees are meant or implied. I have read and understand this contract. If puppy was shipped, then buyer has 10 business days to send the signed contract back to Karen's Yorkies. If Buyer fails to do this, then there is no guarantee and puppy is sold as is.
If a dog dies before 12 months of age of any birth defects such as heart, kidney, or liver failure, the dog will be replaced with the next available dog of the same sex, quality, and price, if the following conditions are met: (1) An autopsy must be done by a licensed veterinarian stating the cause of death as being a birth defect (2) This autopsy report must include proof of the identification of the dog (3) The AKC papers and all paper work including autopsy report must be returned to Karen's Yorkies within ten business days following the autopsy. If an autopsy is not performed, then this guarantee is no longer valid and the dog will not be replaced .
All sales are final.
